Naw you just gotta do stuff to keep the critters out. Theres ways, they dont always work perfectly but they help. birds don't eat my apples because I took old CDs and strung them in the branches. there are things you can use for deer, raccoon, birds, just google it and someones figured out a plan that works. I have a TON of critters that roam my property but don't have much problem with them :)
