He is already decently buried in his hometown. In a museum built in his honor, no less! Transferring him to the Heroes' Cemetery is another story. That would automatically grant him the hero's honor, which he never was. What Duterte is doing by trying to get Marcos in the Heroes’ Cemetery is not trying to unify the nation or heal the wounds of the past, but giving special favors to his friends, the Marcos family. And you might say crony politics and nepotism happen all the time anywhere anyway, but that still doesn't mean it's right. Accepting injustices as part of the norm is like contributing to it by being apathetic. This is not a case of nitpicking the good and the bad in every presidential term of all PH presidents or a comparison of who did the least evil. Accomplishing the bare minimum deliverables of public service to your country is not what being a president is about. And if that's what we're doing here, then let me just say that Marcos is the only president who systematically suspended all human rights for the sake of keeping house that affected almost 100,000 lives. That was unprecedented in Philippine democratic history. He also declared martial law to ensure no elections would be held in order prolong his term. Just because crimes always happen regardless of whose regime it is doesn't mean it's the norm anyway, as what your post to me implied. Feel free to correct me if I misunderstood you in any way. Being a president or an army personnel doesn't automatically grant you a spot in the cemetery. There are other conditions that need to be fulfilled. Plus, all of Marcos' war honors and glory tales are either fabricated or stolen from actual war heroes during the Japanese invasion. Tons of news stories have been written about this already. You can look them up. Just make sure they are from reliable sources, okay? Lots of people can't differentiate trolls and satire news from the actual ones, so be on the safe side. You should always fact check everything you hear and see nowadays. And my dear, you can't say "okay lang magkamali dahil tao lang tayong lahat". A president is the highest elected leader and should be held at higher moral and ethical standards compared to the ordinary citizen. Otherwise, what's the point of us screening then through a rigorous process prior to selecting them? The husband and wife Marcos both have cases in international courts. Is this what you mean by "tao lang nagkakamali rin"? Better yet, is this the leader you would have wanted to represent you before in the international arena? You're not yet of voting age, but my question for you is this: What would you want your leader's best qualities to be like? And what sins of his/hers would you be willing to overlook? All the 90's? I am assuming that that is for straight A's? If so, good job! I actually have a little ritual that I do at the beginning of the semester. Do you know that syllabus that professors give you the first day of class and it shows you what assignments/quizzes/tests are worth what percentage? I meticulously calculate how much I can miss and still clip the 90. In our American system, A's are worth 4.0 regardless, so I just do this method since an A- is the same as an A+! Work hard, smart, and efficiently! 100% efficiency, not 100% effort! Probably not the advice I should be given to a young one, but hey! What do you plan on studying, if I may ask? Congratulations for your revelation! Taking a confession back? Well, that is some anime scene right there! If I were in your position, I would tell your best friend that she's totally overreacting and that we can sit down and work it out. But, I don't know her. So, take what I say with a grain of salt. So today I finally came out of my closet! The whole class know about me being bisexual. Since they keep asking me if I was a lesbian. I guess they did suspect a long time that I dig chic too. Surprisingly guys talks to me more! Telling me how hot being bisexual girl is...... I'm really happy they accept me..... But thennn my best friend confest to me... I was shock I didn't know what to say...she end up taking her confession back saying it's a joke.... She barely talks to me now :( and ignoring me.... Idk what to do?! Some piece of advice please? :(

Hey, Ana! I'm back and sobrang sorry for the late reponse. :D I hope you're doing great in life and in school? Have you started na? About Marcos and the martial law, hmm, I'll get straight to the point. He doesn't deserve a hero's burial at all, to say the least. He is a human rights violator whose crimes were whitewashed throughout history. He and his family still need to atone for their sins, which they never even admitted to. Andaming written accounts na on how his reign actually went, pero most Pinoys keep denying they happened or insist that we just move on and forget about it. It's heartbreaking. I can't really speak much about this personally kasi I was born after this period and my family was in the US, pero you should ask your parents if they were still in the PH during the martial law. Contrary to claims that he boosted the PH economy during that era, he actually plunged us into billions of dollars worth of international debt that we are still paying until now. Yes, it's sad to say, but I have friends whose grandparents were part of Marcos' trusted people before who were in charge of planning out most of the martial law era repression and oppression. It's also interesting to note that "Ingat!" wasn't in the standard Filipino vocabulary for saying good-bye prior to the martial law period. Nagsimula lang siya because of all the martial law disappearances, so people say that when someone is leaving in the hopes that they don't suddenly become part of the "Desaparecidos" aka forced disappearances.

Well responsibility is just you being able to sustain your own life. Basically just eating food and drinking water to survive. In modern times though you need steady income for food and water and for whatever else you want in your life. Like ask yourself what do you want? If you want a big house then you'll need a lot of money. If your ok living in apartments while making ok money to use for small things like I do then you won't need a lot of income for it. The only thing I want out of life is a girlfriend to take care of me and I want to take care of her. That's all I want. As long as your in your joy you will be happy living your life. Know that thing that makes you want to wake up every morning and it makes you want to live longer. Whatever makes you come alive when you wake up every day. Follow your joy and you will be happy :)

It's not my bday til 2 hours ! Yet MO officially made me 17, yay *sarcastically* !!! It's so scary growing up! When I was little , I wanted to grow up fast :( and now I want the complete opposite. When did everyone started realizing they're getting older? When did you start to know what you want to be (get a clue etc). Seriously.... I'm in grade 12 I don't know what to do with my life.... I'm freaking out :( .... Can someone enlighten my mind with responsibility and growing up....
