Usually I don't really mind clinginess, usually. I don't mind if my girl wants to spend all day with me, most of the time. I don't mind sharing my hobbies either. However, when they start getting pissed at me for going to hang with my brothers or friends, than it get's more than irritating. There are also days I just need to be by myself, I always was used to the loner style of life when I was younger, and while I'm far more social now, A part of it is still there. And I just need time by myself to contemplate life, and my decisions. Other times I need alone time is when usually getting rid of frustration, Since I get very physically violent, I'd rather be alone and just pound on the bag. Much easier to let loose when not worrying about anyone else. But just time spent with me, Like I said, it can be all day for days, as long as I can do what I want during it.

Interesting. I've never been to any conventions so I can't speak to that, but I don't encounter anime enthusiasts all that often. That may be partially because I don't have a wide social net. I've met two in my current workplace, both of whom are several years younger than I am. I enjoy the conversations and we exchange recommendations frequently. Their fandom doesn't strike me as all that superficial. That being said, anime's move from niche market to media ubiquity gives me mixed feelings. I like that we have access to a broader variety of shows and films. The quality of distribution (i.e., dubbing and subbing) has improved leaps and bounds. However, there's that part of me that wishes I had been around when anime was very much an underground thing. My VHS copy of Akira has an ad from Streamline Pictures titled "State of the Art Japanese Animation". I LOVE this promo because of what it encapsulates about the culture at the time. For the 1980s and a good portion of the 90s, anime was a shock to the senses. Pure viscera. There was something almost subversive and dangerous about it. We've lost that. As unpleasant of a thought that it might be to have the status of a pariah, I kind of wish I lived in the time where that would've been the case. Sounds weird, I know.

Here's a version of asdskull (one of my good friend :D) that modified my song (it better and he corrected my english mistake ^_^) Take a look: Lonely and breaking on the inside, Alone and forsaken on the outside She wants to run, run away Flee from the loneliness that's tearing her apart Cursed by her memories, The darkness in her mind Still she keeps it all inside She can't show them weakness They'll just make fun of her instead She needs to stay strong Even as she's dying inside She needs to stay strong She must, if she wants to survive Poker faced with no emotions She walks alone Lost in her head, Trying to banish her feelings When the ones she fears Stare at her once again It kept breaking her Their thoughts flowing into her She couldn't keep up, With all those voices in her head She needs to stay strong Even as she's dying inside She needs to stay strong She must, if she wants to survive But she's not strong, not strong enough She can't see the light Not to escape, Nor to survive She can't keep up She can't run away Their gaze will always pierce the same Once again, she'll be the lost child The lonely one, Ostracized and left behind

Well, I would say the best thing you can do is just ignore them and keep doing your best at your job. Their goal is probably just to upset you and bother you, so don't give them that satisfaction. You just have to keep in mind that all what they're saying are just empty words, more or less. Besides, your results speak for themselves. Even if they badmouth you or talks you down, the results of your work will always trump over their words. I'm sure this will be very clear to both your boss and colleagues, so there is no need for you to worry in regards to that. Nevertheless, I can imagine how hard and tied you may feel, but you have to be patient and composed at all times. I think that would be the best way to go in your case. Good luck and I really hope this situation turns out for the better and in your favour :)

Sadly I can't offer any advice myself since I've never dealt with this sort of stuff myself but I REALLY hope you're doing okay and holding on! Sometimes we go through these really hard times in our lives that just seem unavoidable and inevitable but just keep trying the best you can and never lose hope! Eventually you'll find that light at the end of the long dark tunnel so just keep pressing on doing what you do and everything will finally pay off for you, I'm sure of it! I wish you the best of luck!
