I dont have any favourites but i can recommend some gore ones.. unpopular: School days, High school of dead, Gantz (manga), another, shiki, Corpse party.. popular ones: attack on titans, tokyo ghoul, deadman wonderland These should keep you pretty much occupied, however if you are interested in good gore visual novels i cam recommend those too.. (gore is better in the visual novel side)

It's one of my favorite anime but I think it's over hyped, over analyzed and overrated. Yes it's deep, yes it has those mindfuck moments, yes it's one of the most influential anime out there, but like don't make a big deal out of it. I'd say try it but the first few episodes may seem slow and less interesting.

Try Google chrome or Firefox and see if the problem persist. If it's just Safari having the issues out of the others, you may have installed an add-on that's messing with it or improper set up.
