Yeah, there was a case of a dean stealing funds for personal use down here a while ago. But you know, still even with the spending cuts at least kids k-12 are improving. I think that the lack of long term planning is a factor but to be fair, it's not just in the politicians. Our whole society is short sighted. And there's this strange change of tides where the parents get mad at teachers for their child not performing well. While yeah, you get some horrible teachers I don't think the majority are like that. And if the salaries were better, schools could probably be able to have more choice in hiring

so it looks like my plans to go to shutocon in april are in jeopardy....... the engine in my car blew up (at 186,395 miles no less) so instead of the planned $300 dollars for the trip (to my first con), im know forking over around $600 to get her road worthy again...................FML : )

Hi everyone! I'm new here(obviously) and I want to make some new friends that like anime. Not many people I know are into anime AND games, so here I am! I can be shy at first, but I'm fun and funny(well I think so) once you get to know me. I like all kinds of anime and video games. For anime I mostly watch comedies, and with video games I mostly play RPGs. For friends I'd like people to talk to about otaku-esque things online and maybe in real life at a con.
