I think I prefer to play games more because it is more engaging to me to partake in the story. I prefer manga over anime because I can read at my own pace also, but anime is very good for building atmosphere and can provide a great experience too. I think visual novels are a good compromise between both. o7

Chin up man, we all gotta start from somewhere. These things have to be learned through practice. The first thing I'd try to do if I were you is look up any organizations or groups local to your town. If any intersect with your interests, try to sign up. If you don't find a lover, you'll probably find some friends at least. If there's no groups or organizations to join, maybe try to find a business that provides a service related to your hobbies. You should probably focus on learning how to socialize and hold conversations before you go looking for love. Also, it might seem like a contradiction, but you shouldn't try to aggressively look for love. When people actively seek out love, they tend to become desperate and overlook potential future conflicts. Try to find a group of friends first, then let those friendships take you to future love. Just keep walking forward and you'll always be further than you started. o7
