It's a tricky question because you don't want to force your hobbies onto other people. Show him some cosplay montage videos from old cons or tell him Jessica Nigri will love him if he cosplays. You also have to look at it from his point of view. He's probably thinking to himself in a simplified way, "Do I wanna dress up in a costume and go out in public as a grown man". I don't know your friend but don't push it on him too much since you don't wanna weird him out and him thinking to himself "Why does my friend wanna dress up in costumes together so bad". Obviously simplified terms/thinking but you get the point.

Yeah, they are just using the excuse to riot. This one guy said it was okay to burn down the check cashing place because they were Koreans "who preyed on the community by charging outrageous prices". It took 8 years for a CVS to enter that part of the city and what do they do? They destroy it. I love to watch the police surround the protestors. My heart leaps with joy whenever a rioter is grabbed and taken away into custody. And there is nothing like an officer shooting rubber bullets into a crowd of barbarous looters. The sight of protestors having their heads bashed into the ground only to be thrown into police vans is such an irresistible pleasure. Baltimore is an example of the upcoming race war that will transpire throughout the country in the upcoming years. And in the case of that matter, I will always side with the police and government.

Meh, it's been going on since there were people who found they can take advantage of chaos. On the one hand you have people who've been disproportionately targeted by the police and feel a blind eye has been turned to their plight. On the other you have hoodlums who realized they can use that as an excuse to act out. 100 years from now the same thing will be happening. It may happen in cyberspace, but it will still happen.
