This isn't harry potter. You don't just magically have a mark of childhood that dissappears when you become of age. If you did then you should see a doctor. If a man is openly pursuing girls based on them being at or close to being underaged then yeah that's weird and more than a bit creepy. But if a guy gets along with, falls for, and yes is sexually attracted to someone who is 17 independent of her being 17, that is not the same thing as being attracted to a child because 17 year olds tend to have developed adult bodies. Legally he is better off waiting to have sex with her until after she's 18 though.
