I'm not hating on Sao, I'm stating my preference. In terms of writing, characters, plot, world, and mind fuckery. You're in for a very different experience, regardless of which one fits your preference more. After all, Sao makes a better action anime, but Log Horizon just tells a much bigger story, branching into economics, sociology, politics, and some very interesting moral conundrums.
