To surprise Arc all I have to do is talk about how much I love hunting games or hunting in games. When we first started video chatting after meeting on MO, he watched me play Red Dead Redemption for a while and was appalled anytime I stopped to shoot and skin an animal.

Still cracks me up. He told me today a new hunting game came out. I immediately looked it up on Steam. Hehehe

@verucassault Ever thought about hunting IRL? Shoot a deer in the face? Maybe you've done it before IDK

I have a lifetime hunting and fishing license through my tribe if the desire ever arises. I grew up with it as well as participating in bow ternaments, so it's not too unfamiliar territory. I also used to help process deer any time my family would bring in something from hunting.

I feel a hillbilly joke coming on. Look. I grew up in Oklahoma and NOW finally what is recognized as reservation territory. We also farmed fruit and vegetables and slaughtered our own pigs and chickens. Dude. I roughed it growing up. I'm the black sheep because I somehow was the artist and nerd of the entire family.

Don't get your panties in a twist. Even if I did make a hillbilly joke. Nothing wrong with being a hillbilly. It's just a joke at the end of the day. Besides, I can relate to slaughtering pigs and chickens. Part of my early life. I grew up in some of the most rural parts of Mexico. Believe it or not. Very early in the morning. The butchers actually slaughtered the cows and pigs out in the open. I've seen how precise the butcher is with the knife. Like a surgeon. The butcher knew exactly where the heart was. One quick stab. Anyone can guess what happens after that. I've also seen pigs get slaughtered at a party. Then eaten at that same party. The whole vegetarian argument that no one would eat meat if they saw animals get butchered is a bunch of nonsense. People get desensitized real quick. People have killed. Then eaten animals for thousands of years. Nothing new really.

No twist, I knew you had me pegged as a hick already from a while back. I thought your question was sincere, so I answered lol.
.... sincere enough anyways. <-<...>->...

Most Native Americans grow up poor, I think the balance is starting to shift now that so many tribes are becoming more sovereign from the Fed. I'm from Oklahoma. There were many tribes displaced to Oklahoma but the big ones were the Five Civilized Tribes - Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw, and Seminole. Those tribes were given pieces of land after the Trail of Tears. Many people died because they were traveling by foot apart from the wagons and the military leading them there. Some escaped and abandoned their land rights like Arc's ancestor. She went back to Georgia where she was from. My ancestor was one of the wagon masters that lead the way for Cherokees. Then after the displacement of the tribes, Oklahoma has the land rushes. The government also broke treaties, strong armed the tribes time and time again. (This is where my distrust of the gov comes from as well as many others.) I'm highly mixed, diluted but most of the tribe is now. Any child born now that's full blood or even half are considered precious because it's so rare now. I went to college with a guy from another tribe who said he would refuse to marry any girl who wasn't at least half because he wanted to try to keep a pure Native American bloodline going. Hmm.. NA history is sad... but there's an undeniable connection with nature. And pow wows are fun.
Is that what you were meaning? Our tribes holiday actually starts tomorrow so if I see any feeds pop up I'll share them from my wall. There's an annual Nationwide pow wow, just not sure what day it will be on.
