I think the face to face approach would have worked, maybe a month ago when he first met her? Could have struck up a casual conversation and built up rapport, figured out what her interests were, and more importantly introduced himself to her considering they don't even know each other's names. At this point it seems more like what yaasshat said, leaning on more like just coming off as a weirdo. It's really hard to determine if there's some legitimate interest on her end or not also because like yaasshat mentioned, it's a customer facing job. basically part of her job to be personable to customers lol But how knows, maybe it'll work out for him?
