it would be easier for him to come here but hes really against it he has a job and an apartment back in england so i do understand why he doesnt want to lose all that, while i have nothing really here besides my mom, and i can just call her or email her youd think because im american going to england would be easy peasy livin' greasy, but even if we did get married hed need an insane amount of money in his bank account to "prove he can support me" despite the fact that we lived together for 12 months and had 0 money problems england gets a lot of immigrants so the barrier for entry if your not a refugee is monetary really unfair but its a way to curb immigration, ill agree and yeah hed need a job lined up for a workers visa, plus hed need an american license and a car as you cant work here without one (in england he just walks to work because its nice and small) its just looking less and less likely despite the fact that both of our parents are supportive and want it to work

a bike on the highway? and motorcycles are too dangerous, i wouldn't feel comfortable with him riding one motor scooters are really popular in the uk but he doesnt really wanna ride one for safety reasons as well

nah i thought about the marriage thing (because thinking about losing him over this kinda made me realize how important he is to me) but even then hed need the money i did wanna go to school there because we actually lived by a small university and the uk;s great about cheaper education, but i cant ask my bf to work while i went to school, i feel like thats selfish (ill ask him about it but id also imagine hed need the money as hed be sponsoring me in any case) the work thing would be the same in the us id need a job ready for me and to set up a job on a work visa would be a risk for the employer, and im not exactly an artisan in anything plus england is very paranoid about immigrants working, even when i lived there they told me im not allowed to work and if they found out i did id be barred from reentering. yeah im not willing to give up, just the reality is really coming over head and im just getting super worried about it thanks for listening, tea, talking helped
