I always kind of wished I had gotten into something like Pokemon TCG or Magic The Gathering, when I was younger... Feels like it's be to late now and then I'd have to *gasp* socialize with others.

Never too old to try Pokemon TCG yaass! There are people older than me that play at the league lol. A bunch of my co workers play Magic though.

I feel like most competitive players tend to be older anyway, given they can actually drive themselves to tournaments, and afford to play. @_@

I guess. But, when I talk about having problems socialising, I'm not being overlydramatic like most here. I often wonder how I found my wife AND managed to create another life. Thus the conundrum of finding others to start with. Without my wife, I'd still be a wondering hermit, with to much time, to many thoughts and not enough words.

I see :c. I used to have 0 social skills, until someone I knew kinda from highschool reconnected with me after I made a facebook account. She got me out and about a little more and it helped. I'm not perfect, but I can manage to play at the pokemon league with fellow geeks. xD

It's not the playing part or even interacting with others, it's finding others around where I'm at that even have an interest. I'm socially retarded, but not completely inept. I could go on, but I feel that I'd digress.
