Kurig... One of, if not the most wasteful ways to brew coffee. So many containers thrown out. Bedides, you can get much better coffee grinding it yourself. World market probably isn't that far from you, Lamby. Get the Peruvian dark roast, grind it there and never look back.

its my mums, but true is really wasteful are coffee grinders cheap? would you need a french press for them?

Coffee grinders can be cheap and you can actually get a reusable filter for the kurig. Kurig coffee is pretty damn good, I'll give tgem that. A French press just gives you an easy, fingerless and none electric way of making coffee...well, gotta heat up the water, but that's just a minor detail. XD Edit: Damn auto correct...How did filterless turn into fingerless?

First... never mind my fingerless auto correct. XD They're pretty simple and straightforward. Pour coffee grounds into the container, ppur hot water in,let it steep, press the metal filter down slowly(Try to limit how much of the coffee grounds get thru) and don't mind that the coffee may be a littke gritty when you pour it. Some people like them better, but I've never noticed a big difference from other methods. Most of your flavour comes from the quality of the bean, how long it was roasted and the heat of your water(And, don't over grind beans at high speed, again, heat, to much heat is your enemy.) when you steep it.

Oh here we don't use the Keurig because we can't find the filters for it sometimes XD but my family does it in the way you've described and also pretty similar to the Keurig process just by hand, like mixing up coffee grains, then place them in a coffee filter, heat up the water and pour the water through the filter filled with coffee. I still don't know which one is better but seemingly, the way you do it works here mostly when they do a looot of coffee. What would you say is the best way to do it? @yaasshat
