@muffin maybe work on savings goals? Idk where you're at with your savings, but having incremental goals might help quench the want to spend with the want to save! If anything save up for a nice trip? Maybe NYCC or SDCC?

@anna Creeper af @yass Yeah I'm saving for the future. Would just be nice to have something to enjoy every now and then. You know like a little treat for myself occasionally.

It's tough not spending money, especially when you have a decent amount saved. I always think a dollar saved today is a dollar I won't have to earn when Im 65 xD

Last time I was truly free with my money I bought my dream Truck, got a appartment and a Laptop. Next month, the Owner died, I lost my job and almost everything. I am just starting to finish recovering. Lesson, saving is always smart.

At one time, I had a decent 4O1k(none now, I had to take the penalty and cash out to survive), at one point I had at least a few thousand just sitting in my bank account at any given time (not much, but compared to the average, I was doing pretty good) at one point my credit score wasn't screwed( Then I had to choose between basic necessities or bills that would only make it hard/impossible to ever borrow money)...etc. You never know what the future holds, that's why you should prepare. A treat here or there is fine, if it's not going to hinder your present or future self. I always look back and envy/kick my past self, but all I can do now is struggle until I make it. Don't live a life of regret and instead treat your future self.

@lamby I can't help it. It's what I do for a living xD @muffin I know you have work out goals, but you should also make financial goals. Look at your paycheck, see how much you save per paycheck. See how long saving X from each paycheck will take to have Y in your savings. If you're okay with that time frame, maybe factor a splurge for yourself in there.
