i confess im not even sure if i want an engagement ring with a gem on it at all :/ it was all started by the gem industry, so is it really worth it?

It's very possible. It is similar to when you play a game for so long that you can turn it off and actually hear the themes in your head, perfectly. I had it happen a few years ago when playing Pokémon (who'd guess) and I heard the HG/SS gym leader theme as I was walking around my house. It was a bit strange and I had pulled two solid all nighters while playing it.
