I confess that making pancakes from scratch with a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg, then covering them with butter and honey, is better than those box made looking things.;P Easy, too. Flour,cinnamon, nutmeg (Gotta be careful, as nutmeg can be overpowering. So, test it out.) baking soda (Not to much, unless you want them dark and almost burnt tasting.) for levening, buttermilk (Or, milk with a little vinegar. The vinegar curdles the milk and helps with getting the baking soda to release carbondioxide. Aka, it gets them fluffy, but you don't taste the vinegar...Unless you add to much.XD) to make them fluffy, pinch of salt and you don't have to, but can add eggs. I don't usually go by particular measurements. I just know, two cups of flour makes about ten big pancakes(Really big. :) ) and maybe about two table spoons of cinnamon or so, maybe a teaspoon of nutmeg, about 1/2 yable spoon baking soda (more or less, depending on how dark you want them. It's called the Maillard reaction, look it up.)enough butter milk (or milk with about a tablespoon or so of white vinegar. Gotta let it sit for a few minutes until you see it start to curdle.) to get a batter that's a little less thick than cake batter(Maybe one cup or so.). Don't need an egg and I prefer there not to be, but you can add one to make them a little more moist. VERY LITTLE SUGAR, if you so choose. My sugar burned way to quickly, but you don't need sugar when you're just going to slather honey or something sweet on them when they're done. If you've never cooked pancakes, they're super easy. But, I'm just assuming most have at one point, so just cook like normal. Of course, adjust or just put what ever flavors(OR none) in the pancakes that you want, if cinnamon and nutmeg aren't your thing.

Crepes are an even better choice, especially for pigs in a blanket. That's breakfast sausage and grape jelly wrapped in either a crepe or pancake.
