So i've come across an obstacle. I was dating this guy in university, that made me change what i looked for in a guy. Before i was a stupid drunk who wanted badboys and 'We will get clean together' bullshit relationships.
But this guy made me realize how great it is to have someone kind, who has manners and loves you for you.
My problem is, do i really like this new type of guy, or am i trying to replace the guy i lost?

You want a balance of both. The bad boy is naturally attractive because he actually dares to try, to excite, and romance you. The other guy has all the qualities of a stable relationship. However a successful relationship has both of these without the negatives of being unattached and unexciting (respectively).
It takes most girls a long time to even realize this, much less articulate it. What you want is just (what should be) the definition of a real man.

I think it's great that your realizing this. Many young women seem to only care about the badasses that treat them very poorly. We need more girls like you. As for the question, are you still lamenting on your last relationship? If you are then maybe you are trying to replace the lost guy, but if you aren't lamenting I'd say you found a great guy to love, either way, don't let him get away, you might regret it if you do. Just my 2 cents.

What is healthier? Staying clean with someone who doesn't enable or repeating the cycle? Rhetorics of course

What's your defintion of a badboy? I think I am a nice guy with bad tendencies. Oh well. Do what makes you happy.
