Absolute must-haves in a GF/BF?

I was just curious as to what characteristics people look for in their potential mates (o3o) <- I can't think of a better way to phrase that (^_^;) Mmmm, I mean traits that are, for you, absolutely required in a girlfriend or boyfriend. For me, a guy has to be someone I feel comfortable around, not too pushy, slightly feminine, and genuine. What about you guys?

Hm well for a girl I'd like them to not be over sensitive and jealous since well my last girlfriend was so bad with that I couldn't even talk to anyone online. I'd also want them to be able to not be to shy to even kiss me DX yet another thing my ex had issues with! As for a guy they need to communicate intelligently. Also (its not a must have but its something very much preferred)I would like them to be older than me... For both I need to be comfortable around them and be able to talk without worry of being judged! Also they must love long hugs. X3

Dang it, you beat me to the punch. I was going to make a topic like this! XD Ok, my thing is lengthy, bare with me. The guy has to be respectful, nice, have common interests with me, funny..Can be shy, but not too shy (super quiet) or I'd feel like I'm talking to myself haha. If he's an artist, that'll be a plus, but doesn't have to be. I like whites and Asians (my look preference, that is.) Bangs are a must for me. Glasses are cute, but doesn't have to have. I like mustaches too, but again, doesn't have to have a mustache. Peach fuzz is fine. I particularly love dark hair, but doesn't have to have dark hair. As for weight, I like either skinny, athletic or a little chubby. Religion? Is a must. I'm a Catholic and I dated non-Catholics before... So didn't work so well. I strongly look for that in a guy. That's the number one thing. He can like video games and trading card games too. Gives us something fun to do. Height? I'm short anyway so don't see it as a problem. Oh! And I hate rushing. I like things nice and slow. like old fashioned in a way. I could go on and write a novel but here's might start to the convo. c:
