Major ones for the longest time were Everquest (first one) and Final Fantasy XI. Right now I play on and off: Vindictus, Pangya (Golf, heh) and Ragnarok online.

used to play WoW, Forsaken World, Star Wars the Old Republic, Guild Wars 2 and Rift. I don't how much time I put in WoW, but at a certain point it just kept getting old running the same crap trying to get epics. And don't get me started on the farmers. Old Republic was awesome at first, great story line and rpg, expected no less from Bioware, but it just got cray cray hard torwards the end. Just like Guild Wars 2.

WoW killed off my interest in MMO's. I played it off and on from release to Cata. Vanilla WoW was fantastic, but WoW turned into a game where the only challenge was finding people who could jump on command while doing end game stuff. The rest of the game was a waste of time, End game started to to turn into a cake walk too, and I started to realize the only reason I was playing the game was to stay in touch with some of the friends I made in the game: NOT the enjoyment I was getting from playing the game it self.
Paying 15 bucks a month for a social engine seemed..... stupid.
I have no real hope for any of these new MMO's. I have played, alpha/beta tested almost every MMO since 2006, and they all have one major thing in common: World of Warcraft.
They all follow the same basic game design, and while they change a few things in order to call them selves 'unique", the truth is at their core they are just a updated engines running a remake of WoW with a new Lore.
I miss Vanilla WoW, I miss Ultima Online: I miss games that provide a challenge and a reason to become a better player: NOT the challenge of getting 9 or 24 other people to jump at the right time......../cry
(full disclosure: I was a fully geared Healidin during WoTLK and Burning cursade, I was suckered into running raiding guilds during both expansions: Never did get a chance at the black Temple, but we did clear the Lich King)
