Convention... for the never been.

Yeah so... i've never been to a convention before and i really want to go to one! But i am wayyy to shy/scared/whatever to go by myself. So is there like any conventions in Canada, Ontario... Toronto ones would be easy... not saying i live near there.... but i live near there, and would you go with me?

There seem to be a lot of cons in <a href="http://animecons.com/events/calendar.shtml/013">Toronto</a>, one's even going on right <a href="http://animecons.com/events/info.shtml/3698/FanExpo_Canada_2013">now</a>. <br/> If you ever went Stateside, <a href="http://www.youmacon.com/">Detroit, Michigan has a convention in November</a>. That's a four hour drive from Toronto, though, but I know there's quite a number people here that go to that con, including myself.
