Zenkaikon might not be able to host a cafe due to their contract with the Lancaster Convention Center which does not allow them to sell food. They've tried to host one before in previous venues but have thus far been unsuccessful. (´･д･`) Other conventions like Anime Expo have Maid Cafes in which they don't serve food but they play games with guests and dance or play live music, which might be good to consider when pitching your services to conventions.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there will not be a Cafe Otaku at Zenkaikon this year. "Hi Adam, Thanks for the suggestion and offer of help! Unfortunately, we don't think we have the space for that type of event this year. However, we are always looking for new ideas, and will keep your suggestion in mind for the future. Thanks again!"

Aww... I was hoping you'd have success. Perhaps you could find another way to promote at Zenkaikon? A booth? Or panel? Or... flyers?
