I think Weight is an issue for everyone. It matters to a certain extent.
Personally, I don't mind dating someone whose bigger or heavier than me but i wouldn't want them to be big enough to the point that I'm not physically attracted to them.
If they become bigger throughout the relationship, that's another story and you've already made bonds, i'd still stay with them if they put on weight throughout.

As I've said in past threads similar to this topic, it's kind of hard to be in a relationship with someone you're not physically attracted too. For a lot of people (myself included), excessive weight isn't really a desirable trait in a potential mate. That being said, I don't think it's necessary for every female out their to strive to be a size 2 because lets be honest, that's just not very realistic for a vast majority of people. I weigh about 180 myself. Not by any means ungodly overweight, but I have a bit of a spare tire I could work on no doubt. I couldn't really see myself dating a girl who weighed much more than that. It also can come down to how someone carries that weight as well.

I believe that one should love themselves the way they are, but health is something that should be a higher priority than body image. The rise in obesity in both the US and in the world at large is crazy. Young girls starting puberty at the age of 6 and type two diabetes increasing. It's to the point that in my generation, life expectancy has actually declined as opposed to the previous generations where they've increased.
But off the soapbox, I'm not disinclined to date people heavier than me or who are a bit chunky, but if they were big and looked like they didn't take care of their presentation (greasy hair, gnarly nails, unkept look, body odor, etc.) I'd probably think you're a person who doesn't have any care for themselves which is generally a turn-off for me.

I don't think weight is an issue but if they don't care about there body and heath and get really big or really skinny that's were i have to cross the line.
And as far as someone heavier more then me it depends on height around the same height or taller then i don't mind to a point smaller then a little but i wouldn't say they-er out yet.
What about you Lambey?

I dated someone heavier than me once. It wasn't a real problem, she eventually lost weight after our seperation. Initially, I don't go looking for girls heavier than me, I was always moderately skinny, now I'm more or less skinny to an athletic build.
If I found someone who did weigh more than me and I was partially attracted, it wouldn't deter me too much but I would be interested to see if they would think about losing weight for the sake of their own health. Some people who are overweight claim to be happy with their body and sometimes that bothers me if it's unhealthy.

I don't think its a real problem. A little chunkiness isn't bad, but I also agree with the rest of the threads. I myself am a little chunky partially because I do alot of muscle training and nothing else. So if it was something like that it would be easily understandable.
Anyways, long story short- everyone agrees here ^^

I'm in agreement with everyone here. Not everybody can lose or gain weight and keep it off/on It doesn't really matter to me. If you are healthy (Thick hair, strong nails, glowing skin complexion, etc.) then I could careless about how much you weigh or how chunky you look. It all comes down to taking care of yourself.
With that being said, there is a limit to everything. I personally get turned off when a guy is a little bit too muscular (like professional body builders). I'm a little more attracted to guys who are pale and skinny (Which is like, the exact opposite of me xD). I wouldn't mind dating a chunky guy; it doesn't really bother me. I'm more about the personality.

stretch marks or even chunky people dont matter to me its real fat people thats a turn off and skinny real skinny like showing ribs and counting kidneys thats also a turn off but if i was in love with someone they could be a fat blind cripple and i wouldnt care because love is different its unstoppable but it would most definitely have to be true love for that to happen
