OVERRATED ANIMES (Opinions)

and how do you define overrated? if you're a fan of something, you're going to defend it regardless of what someone might think of it. I don't really have anything specifically. I still love Bleach, I remember all the hype surrounding Naruto and I haven't really watched much of One Piece. I've heard that Inuyasha was overrated but that might be my favorite anime of all time even though I can't count how many "Inuyasha!... Kagome!" exchanges there were..

Overrated is where people credit a certain series too much, where in Naruto, Bleach, One Piece have the largest fanbase amongst other series and to where those fanboys will say "man this is the best anime/manga of all time" wherein most of them haven't read a tons of pretty good manga nor watch pretty good anime. Seriously this 3 the quality of the series couldn't even compare to the like of berserk, monster, o-parts hunter oh and if you want some shounen YYH, Rurouni Kenshin, Shaman King, shits on this 3, but if you want any ongoing shounen series. Hunter x Hunter deserve the fame what this 3 have and AoT well it deserves the credit it gets.

<font color="red"><strong>Angel Beats what? No way. I never heard people rave about it outside this site. Then again I don't go on anime sites or forums and read about what people bitch about really. I watch it on my own to develop my own opinions about anime/manga. So in that respect I guess "to each their own" applies here. I can say I always believed InuYasha was overrated to the MAX! I love Rumiko Takahashi manga and anime adaptations however the way the fan base was about it drove me away from it. Then one day I sat down and actually watched it and I was impressed. <P>I think it's better in story and characters than Ranma ½. That's a lot for me to say because I loved Ranma ½ when I was young. Anime wise after season 3 it's the same random shit and horrible animation. The overall quality just keeps doing down hill. If it wasn't for the Ocean Group's voice talent I won't have watched it all. <P> One anime I can stay that's overrated in my opinion is anything related to Full Metal Alchemist. Just doesn't hold my interests like how other rave about it. Then only thing Full Metal I watch is Full Metal Panic.</strong></font>

:O FMA is awesome Bleach = Overrated and played out One Piece = Overrated. Naruto/Naruto Shippuden = REALLY overrated and played out, I mean COME ON! The fights can be ridiculous sometimes. "OH, WE'RE ABOUT TO FIGHT? WILL LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY FUCKING CHILDHOOD!" *Flashback* Lucky Star = slightly overrated. *prepares myself from the fangirls* Black Butler/Kuroshitju = a TINY BIT overrated. I have no problems with the show itself, it's the crazy fanbase. Sooo many good animes out there that are underrated. One of my personal favorites is NANA. If you're into drama, then I suggest you check it out.

Vampire Knight is incredibly overrated. I dont get how it's so popular when the characters are so incredibly bad and boring. And that'd be fine if the story was okay but...It's not, the story is awful and random in a unpleasant way. I could continue but you get the idea.

heh, well, considering most of the profiles i've looked at has every anime they watched rated a 10, i'm guessing a good many of them are! i honestly don't know how these are rated typically. i go into most of these shows completely blind, hence a lot of the crap i've watched!
