What is virginity to you?

I dunno, there was a bit of the discussion about marriage before sex and I thought it was interesting that many people who sign pledges saying they would wait to have sex until after marriage are more likely to become parents (with/without marriage, textbook didn't say) before they graduate from college. So I suppose I'm implying that perhaps people who wait until marriage tend to get married and start families younger than those who don't. A tad too young in my personal opinion, but *shrug* I'm also studying for a psych test today (well supposed to be) so I just read that in my textbook. I'm procrastinating :D

I definitely go for waiting until after marriage. I think of it as something special that should be given to one who I really care for.

Hmm, I also look at having sex is more of a spiritual thing (not in a religious sense) and I don't think it should revolve around the act as much as it should actually making love to someone you consider your best friend, other half, soul mate, etc. People take love too easily and for granted these days and if I've learned anything from never being in a relationship it's that people should cherish those they say they "love" and truly mean it, this is further amplified when having sex. IDK, maybe I'm just a romantic but for me sex is more than coitus and I personally wish more people saw it as such.

@wallace, to me that's sad in it of itself. I'm a virgin myself so maybe I'm just saying all of this hoping my first time will be for spiritual/bonding reasons. I just think it's sad that people have sex with each other solely to please their desires, it completely takes the mysticality out of sex and makes it more plain.

Haha when you loose it at a party it's fun but I guess it's not as fulfilling as it could have been But I can't do nothing about it just hoping my next and last partner didn't had as much or way more fun than I did I think it's overkill when your partner has been with way more people than you I'm talking about double digits
