I didn't say the first 2. Just the first. The second was definitely capcom. And I didn't say I didn't like 3, just that it wasn't up to par with its predecessors! :p

The fact that you said ANY were made by Squaresoft was bad, and saying that BOF3 is not better than the 1st or 2nd one is just blasphemy

Fuck me. i written our this while post and my office lagged out. Ugh. Anyway tl; dr version now. Capcom developed the game in jp. Brought to NA ti capcom usa. Capcom USA patented with square basically for promotion and also overseeing the rpg aspect of the game, due to capcom lack of rpgs at the time. It was released under square, as they declared it to be "from the makers if final fantasy" in an adrenal to sell more copies. Smart move on their end. I never looked up the backstory to BoF.. it's a great series, But I still believe the snes versions trump all n. Just my opinion :p
