Anime Iowa meet up?

Looking to meet up with people planning on going to anime Iowa this year. I am also curious and would want to see what it is like to take someone on a non romantic but friendly date at the con. ( Assuming I remain single single, A girl friend would not like this idea if I had one by then. )
