The 3 by 5 card, are you on it?

lagannfan
In the media and politics it seems as if there exist a set of topics that are "okay" to talk about and you can probably fit them all on a 3 by 5 index card, but watch out if you stray off that index card you will be castrated, belittled, and shut out! When I first heard of this from Thomas E. Woods I thought he might be exaggerating but then I decided to watch CNN, MSNBC, and FOX for 1 whole day. If you do this you will notice that any time someone strays from what is considered mainstream they will be discredited or censored in some way and also watching that much news you will realize how narrow the political discussion really is. There are at least a dozen sensible solutions to solving the financial woes in America yet you only hear of republican and democrat ways and when someone like Ron Paul, or even Jill Stein mention other methods they are cut off, discredited with faulty logic, or one of many other methods of reaction to anyone who says something not on the 3 by 5 card. So how many of your ideas probably are off or on the 3 by 5 card? Are you comfortable only knowing the options available to you on that 3 by 5 card or would you rather explore? Pick any problem and I more than likely can give you an alternative that is not on the 3 by 5 card.

For example when the topic of Secession comes up anyone who says it is constitutional is immediately attacked. We are not even allowed to debate it unless we are willing to be attacked first. Here are some examples http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMdrwhDoZjQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player Okay maybe...... maybe that was just real technical difficulties. At least they are not blatantly lying, right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6Wf8BXOSpc&feature=youtube_gdata_player I actually remember multiple broadcast from various news groups that said it was only a few hundred back at this point in time. More like a few thousand. okay maybe they were just horribly horribly wrong? People can criticize Ron Paul how they want, I have my differences with him but if you notice EVERY single thing on this video if it is not cutting someone off it is giving one line talking points and labels based on attempts at slander. For every label that was attempted to be put on someone in this video if you look up what they stand for and the actual definitions then it makes no sense. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzImw1ofVbw&feature=youtube_gdata_player Obviously all you have to do is YouTube search and sift through the garbage videos.
