oh sorry, anyway back on topic, hypothetically would you say it is disgusting if you saw a couple who were practicing incest? I don't know if I would mind it or not, but I like to hear what other people think

I wouldn't want to know if they were practicing incest inthe first place, but if they were in your face about it, I'd suggest a few abortion clinics to them, especially if there's a chance of pregnancy. It implies mental instability.

Now just to get the fact straight incest does mean instant retarded babies, genes are more complicated than that one recessive or that one dominant. B Genetic disorder appear only after long line of incestal relationship.

I tend to notice that when they bring incent into manga it's usually by law, not blood (although they do cross that line plenty of times too). The one thing I'm curious about is the ethical dilemma that could theoretically face two people related by marriage. Lets say that you fall in love with that special someone and things are going really well. Both of you have single parents who just hapen to meet and fall in love with each other on their own accord. Should both of your parents decide to marry what would happen to both of you? Would you be unable to marry yourselves in the U.S.? Would you be ostracised for having a romantic relationship with your brother/sisten in law? Will one couple just have to give up a piece of their happiness to ensure the others? It's interesting stuff to think about.

Wow, interesting how many responses came up in this thread. As everyone has been stating, there are genetic defects, mental instability, moral, and legal issues that come up with immediate family incestuous relationships. I just like incest in my (fictional) stories. FYI, in Chinese culture marrying your 2nd cousin is a OK.
