UK Convention For First Timers?

Never been to an Anime convention, meetup or gathering and I was hoping someone could give me some advice on ones happening in the UK, when, where and which would be the best etc? They look incredible but instead of taking advice from google I thought it would be best to ask experts! Cheers!

I've not been either. There was a website http://animecons.co.uk/events/ No idea if thats all of them but I saw a few big ones on there. There is one this month in London I think thats a big one. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will come along and help you soon.

I am so broke, so not this year lol. But maybe next year I might go to London. Um these ones are ones I've heard good things about: London MCM Expo May 24-26, 2013 ExCeL Convention Centre, Royal Victoria Dock London, UK AyaCon August 16-18, 2013 Warwick Arts Centre Coventry, UK I don't know about the others I was just told these ones are popular. There is a guy on my friends list that might be able to tell you his sn name is Tylor, I know he's been to cons before so he might be a bit more clued up than I am.

Well the one in London I think is quite big and I think Ayacon is as well but I'm not sure cause I've obviously never been. Good luck :)
