Hiya! Anyone who attends Sakura Con?

Hi, nice to meet everyone. I can't believe I found something like this! It's awesome! I'm sort of a new otaku. Just recently started cosplaying 3 years ago since Sakura con 2010... I recently got out of a relationship and most of my friends moved away so trying to find new ones!

I was at Sakura con too, it's sooo much fun. I really want to Cos-play next year but I need a LOT of help getting started on my outfit. It has to be perfect for my first cos-play ever, no cheap cardboard and duct tape crap.

Thank you everyone for the welcomes! Lol, i hear ya drako. I used to just buy my cosplay on ebay. I just learned how to sew this year so i'm going to make my own now. Maybe we can give each other tips!

I've been looking everywhere, and I haven't found a single place with an existant cosplay of what I want to do. I.E I want to Cosplay as Dragonmaster Alex from LUNAR: A Silver Star Story Seems like I'm either gonna have to make it msyelf, or request a custom commission, both of which will probably end up very expensive.

Yea, this last con I made a Killer Bee cosplay which is simple. With the fabric and everything it cost around $80. But its soooo much more fun and satisfying when you can say "I made it myself!"...

I'm sure I can do the costume myself, just need to really focus on the pieces, but the props are the hard part. The sword will need be be molded and made into foam, and the shield will take work as well. Helmet too, needs to be perfect.
