Anyone from Minnesota?

What's the atmosphere of Acen? I've only been to smaller cons like Detour and Animinneapolis so I'm not sure what to expect from larger cons besides really great looking cosplays. And Japan? That would be awesome! Although, cons are a blast as well.

The atmosphere of ACen felt a lot more open. The only time it felt crowded, was when standing in lines. There was nearly 25,000 people, but it felt more comfortable than Detour and AniMinneapolis. That's just my opinion though. The exhibit hall is amazing! People bring out their A game when it comes to cosplay! Brilliant cosplayers! Yeah, my friend and I were trying to save up to go Summer '15, but she wants to try and go Summer '14 instead. She's gone before, she stayed in hostels, and just traveled around the country. I'm more into checking out theme parks and shopping. If we combine what we both want to do, it would be a pretty interesting trip. ^_^

Yeah, I would just suggest that you try and experience as much as you can while over there. I've never been to Japan before, but I have been to Europe with my family. We did so much and traveled to so many different places there and that made it an amazing, unforgettable trip. Anyway, how long do you plan on being there?

Oh wow! I've never been outside of the US. >_< I plan on adventuring like crazy when I go to Japan. My friend is a ton more adventurous than me, but she gets me to do stuff I wouldn't normally do. My friend wants to stay in Japan for the summer, but I don't think we can afford to stay that long. I'd say we would stay for a couple weeks. I want to stay as long as possible. ^_^

Apparently he is a hilarious dude. I want to go to a panel of his if he is ever at a con I attend (again). I missed out big time last ACen. T_T
