So yeah. I decided to start on my Mobile Suit cosplay I started on last year. So far the helmet is almost done and I have plenty of reference art for the thing. The problem is cardboard. I ran out of the stuff a while ago and it's been tough getting a hold of pieces that are big enough to be usable. I might run over to the Hobby Lobby down the street tomorrow and see if they have the stuff I'm looking for. If so, I might have to start some progress photos. Anyone else ever done cosplay that required large quantities of cardboard? I also realized that I'm gonna need a sword. A red light saber will probably fit the bill perfectly. Hm. I guess this thread is more of a me reminding myself to keep working sort of thing... But I might let the helmet sit for now and start working on the torso and shoulders. Will probably make them onnected and have the shoulders connected to the torso by a hinge made of masking tape and cardboard. Then I could just take the whole thing off in one piece rather than having to take each piece off individually. The skirt armor's going to be interesting though.

Go to walmart at night and go to either the domestics section or housewares and they will have huge boxes that will be of use. Plus they're free! BONUS!

Thanks for the tip! ^v^ Hm. I just remembered that one of my favorite friends (Romantically interested in her.) works at a Walmart... 0_0 Hm. I might have to ask her if I can come by one evening and take some boxes. ^v^
