Hello I am new here.

Hi my name is Carey. Let's see... Well my story has three parts. The start, the realization, and current. For the beginning I started watching anime when I was younger. I would only watch cartoons (I still do). Whatever was on Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon was what I would watch. Somehow I was able to watch some of Sailor Moon (I believe this to be my first anime experience) and naturally Dragon Ball Z. My friend at the time she knew that she was an Otaku and she was able to slowly turn me into one because of Dragon Ball Z. However I didn't know that I was one until later on in life. I believe it was around the time when the FoxBox turned into 4KidsTV. I would be up early in the morning and watch the shows on there. It was then I quickly fell in love with Shaman King. I would watch all those episodes with pure excitement for the next episode. It was the same for Sonic-X and others. Skipping ahead to about high school it was then I realized all my friends were going to anime conventions and such. I had always wanted to go but because of my sport I was never able to go. Well I still hadn't realized that I was an otaku. Sometime during my high school experience my friend Matt who was a very devoted otaku was able to open my eyes into the full world of anime. It was then I realized that I was an otaku. And here we are today. I finally was able to go to conventions and be able to talk about a larger variety of animes that I have seen. I also try my best to update my list of animes on Myanimelist. My goal is to get about 50 hours of watching anime. I am currently around 37 hours. Until I reach that point I won't feel accomplished.
