Hello! I was wondering if any of you out there are interested in or wear any form of Japanese street fashion? Lolita, Visual Kei, Otome, Gyaru, Mori Girl, the list goes on... Let's have a discussion about them!
I've never been interested in fashion until about this year, maybe. I'm wondering if I should start building up a sort of J-fashion basic wardrobe to arm myself with for the near future (summer), but I need a steady source of income AND inhibited family judgment.
I think if you want to, you should give it a try! What sort of styles have you been looking into? Depending on how flamboyant your clothes are, you might get different reactions from those around you. But I think it's important to do what you love to do!
Wow, I've never met an actual bosozoku! I've seen them in movies and TV but I've never heard of someone actually wearing it in their own personal life. Wow! You don't know the other fashions I listed? :P
This is the bare-bones foundation of what I have available: Thigh-high socks (black and white), only one pair of shorts that doesn't cover up the aforementioned socks, and one pair of cute black shoes. No tops. o.o Nothing else. xD hahahaaaa, I'm more of the Hawaiian shirt wearing kind of person >.<
@Kyetge!: Those are pretty good foundations, though! What sort of look are you aiming for? (: Just cuteness in general, or a certain fashion? @Riffaffray: Haha I didn't figure it was an everyday sort of style (it's a little too outrageous to wear to work, I'd think!) But it's very cool to finally meet someone who has an interest in it!
