I don't know many cases where a girl felt she needed to be "saved" by a man in order to feel the need to be with him :x

i also tend to ignore guys who proudly refer to themselves as 'nice guys'. theyre the ones who usually give me the same compliments every girl hears millions of times so yeah

I never found myself in a situation where I let a girl down without any reasons...maybe a friend that I disliked because of my hatred towards her.
Girls will always have a bigger pool to choose from than guys (as a love interest). So there's no wonder a girl has a bigger potential to turn you down for someone better than you or get bored of you.
Anyways, to girls that I tried to be with, all of them reject me sooner or later because of various reasons. I think I'm too boring for relationships.
Also, if I ever turn down (or try to distance myself from) a girl is because of a reason...the reason is usually something bad that she did, and depending on how awful the event she created was, I take measures regarding it.
Examples:
-She tried to change me, badly
-She tried to get advantage of me
-She tried to blame me and find even tiny flaws to exploit
-She betrayed / left me when I needed her the most...
I used to forgive people way too much...yet in time I developed a bit of a dark and careless nature so I won't get hurt that much anymore.
In conclusion: I don't turn down a girl for someone else or because I got bored of her...or things that most girls would do with a guy...
But I'm not complaining too much...the bright side is that they found someone better than me so they are probably way more happier than with me. As a bystander type of person, I always tell myself this realistic idea ^^

@Maverick pff that sucks. Usually girls up to the age of 16 are like that. It's a shame but oh well, not everybody wants a long term relationship.

Or perhaps you, meow_tron, do not know how to take a compliment <.< :hides: If you receive the same compliment multiple times, it might just be an outstanding quality that you have. You may be right about some guys being nothing but broken records repeating what they think might flatter a girl, but all that some guys know how to do is to pick out one certain quality that they like most or a quality that a girl might like to hear they have. We don't always have a lot to work with when we don't know a girl very well. We can't just pick out something random like... "I like the way your name makes me think of a cat meowing to the movie Tron." (I bet you've never received that compliment before.) But, even if a compliment is sincere, it would lose it touch after a awhile. It's just up to how you take it.
