people do it to me all the time. of course im wearing a costume and they want pictures etc...but i think its all in presentation. if you walk up and make it obvious that you're there to pick them up and thats it, then yes im sure a lot of girls will be put off by that. start up an actual conversation. like if she looks like a veteran then maybe you tell her youre kinda new to this and need some tips.

Maverick, at the multitude of conventions I've worked at. Yes, they usually have something along these lines. They're always 18+, and I'll say this now so as to not get your hopes up, I've noticed while working on panels/programming that there are usually very very few women who actually go to them *shrug* but it's what I've seen. I always feel bad for the guys who go there, but it's not like we can force people to go.

......are you serious. Trying to pick up chicks at a con? That's......not a bad idea. XP Not sure how well your plan will work out though.
