The shell was really a gift from my family. Which i for sure owe them big time for haha. anyways, my dad found it up near California, about 10 years ago, and it was wrecked. the frame was Golden, but the whole passenger side was beyond thrashed. The guy who was selling it said that some dude was racing it, and smashed into the other racer causing the whole freak accident.
from there, me, my bro, and dad all worked on the body. That was a some serious work! took about 4 years to finish it to where it looked brand new. painetd it white and haven't hand money for the all black paint job. because the driver's seat was on the left, we also had to completely change that. with no engine, we had to rebuild from the ground up, this is where I shined ^^ all my work. able to find a original R34 (2000/R) block, so happy about that. Specs: 6 cylinder, 2.5L, and it's a standard. No fun with an automatic. Besides the engine, rims, and muffler, everything else is stock. Top speed, i've got up to is 189. So I think things are going good ^^
My brother is really into JDM cars, so he would probably drool all over it hahaha, just kidding. But yea, I would feel the same as you.

Whatever you do, keep the racing and drifting on the tracks and off the streets. I have way too many stories on this.
My friend was drifting with a passenger up in the mountains and accidentally rubbed the guardrail and came to a stop. The passenger told his parents, and the next day, my friend had a lawsuit on his hands for punitive damages for reckless driving/endangerment and medical bills for whiplash.
I know another guy that totaled a brand new 350z (less than a week old) by trying to impress some friends.
And yet another guy drifting in downtown in the middle of the night and hit a building. Passengers had severe organ damage and was in a coma for 3 days.
Drive fast and drive safe!

Wahh sucks your friend was slapped with a lawsuit!
I agree with you on driving safe, so no worries. if people can drive these cars they should at least be smart enough NOT to drive in populated and slim areas...in my opinion. I don't "risk the biscuit" with my car or other people's lives. Sorry if this sounded blunt or rude, so on, just being honest.

Yeah, the passenger just mentioned it to his parents as kind of a joke, but they completely flipped out. From what I heard, they settled out of court.
I think racing on the track is a really great experience because you'll find out how seriously people take safety there. We all do stupid things to impress people, but this will give you an additional layer of self-discipline IMO. All the people that I know that do dangerous street racing have 0 experience on the track.
Also, be careful of deer and mud-slides when you're in the mountains, especially around blind curves. I've had some pretty close encounters myself...
