Have you guys been in a situation where you met a person and you do a lot of nice things for them and then later they end up stabbing you in the back or say "I want nothing to do with you".

Many women I had feelings for responded to me this way:
Liz: Middle school crush. I was friends with her defacto step brother so I got to hang out with her a lot. She was intelligent for the most part but was too into being a loli, men her own age didn't interest her. I cut things off shortly after her bithday in which I gave her an old iPod and she kind of blew me off afterwards.
Ashh: A typical tsundere, I got to know her because of family friends, she was a sweet person once one got to know her, but she barely noticed me unless I got in her face in everyday life.
Some examples. I used nicknames for them so I don't get shot out, but neither are Otaku so I think i am ok.

I don't think I've ever been stabbed in the back. This is thanks to the kind of people I surround myself with.
We are straightforward as a group and don't give in to bullshit and drama.
But that might be because there is less than normal emotional investment...

Mmm, can't say I've really experienced anything very dramatic since stupid things in high school. I had a very dramatic roommate who I suppose was a backstabber but I also think she seriously has issues so I'm not inclined to be all that negative towards her. Just kinda apathetic. But then again, that's kinda my reaction towards those kind of actions

I've had a few friends do this to me, mostly cause I was a bit of a mat back then who didn't really stand up for myself... I think anyway. Long story short don't talk to or see them anymore. I've changed quite considerably since then though, so I don't have this issue anymore.

Definitely. They were a very hypocritical person. I wont go into details to prevent any rising anger in me from emerging.

Not in words, but in actions. Fortunately for me I let go easily.

YYYEAAHH.. It happened to me once, but I'm pretty thankful it happened. I was able to get away from that group of friends. Sometimes things happen fro a reason, and I think I needed that. It definitely does suck in the moment though. e__e

Time heals. I know it's cliche and you might not want to hear it right now, but it's true. My first girlfriend was supposed to be this upstanding conservative Christian type with high morals and values. I found out that she had been talking to one of my supposedly best friends every night. Eventually she broke it off, and they started dating right afterwards. Model religious type, huh? Not only that, but since they were both in my group of good friends we'd all still hang out. When that happened, they'd basically just ignore everyone and cuddle the whole time. It was sickening. I was devastated that none of my other friends said anything. I felt back-stabbed by EVERYONE.
I stopped hanging out with them. Eventually they reached out, and I found it bothered them as well. They just didn't really know how to handle the situation. (we were still really young back then, lol!) A lot of things happened since then, and we're all even closer friends now. I'm even the best man at the wedding of the friend who caused it all. (though it's not the same girl, they didn't last, go figure.)
I don't know if a psychiatrist would call that "healthy" but it worked out for us. Forgiveness and whatnot. I don't know if this directly helps you, but I figured you could benefit in some way from my experience.
