Anyone know how to post the label for an address in Japan?
I am sending fan mail to a seiyuu (not expecting a reply) for her older work.

Ah, I was wondering if I have to enter the same way as this:
〒112-0013 東京都文京区音羽1-2-3
キングレコード スターチャイルド 気付
林原めぐみ 様
For Megumi Hayashibara of King Records/ Starchild label

Wasn't meant to be funny but it really is just like mailing normal letter. Used to send mail to japan all time. My ex lived there. Name then street and city/country then the postal ID. almost exactly like mailing to your friend down street. Just did not need to be complcated.

I know it's a late response, but I guess I'll explain the Japanese addressing system for everybody else. Basically, it's written in the reverse order as American addresses, specifying the most broad area first and then the specific location last. Since most Japanese streets do not have names, addresses are found by referring to the chome (or district), the block number in that district, and the building number on that street. Here is an example:
Zip Code on its own line
Prefecture, City, Address (in Chome-Block-Building format)
Addressee
So that address would be written on an envelope like this:
〒112-0013
東京都文京区音羽1-2-3
キングレコード スターチャイルド 気付
林原めぐみ
or
Zip Code 112-0013
Tokyo Prefecture, Bunkyou Ward, Otohane-1 Area, Block 2, Building 3
King Record Star Child Label
Megumi Hayashibara
