Dimensional Rifts

A lot of what we have now started as pretty ideas. Eventually science catches up to those ideas to turn them into useable technology. Imagine telling someone in the distant past that you've harvested the power of lightning to send your thoughts across the world. If any of these theories are proven true, even a part of them, it can open up new fields of science. Which inevitably turn into new video games.

True ... Let's hope we can get there without destroying ourselves along the way though. We got more than enough games abt humanitys doom as it is.

Meh, in most of those games there's a Boundbyluck character to save us from ourselves. It seems most of the speculation so far can only be applied in the realm of computing anyway. So as long as the lights on your computer don't turn red after that power surge, we'll be ok for a little while.

@ jinsei Yes my name could be used for many heroes like mc from halo or shepherd from mass effect as well as many other examples (cliché). I'm not so worried abt power per say as i worry more about electro magnetic fields, acid rain and radiation.

The Attack Summons that deal in manipulating space are quite tricky, even with my skill it would take a long time to master just one, and the one that sent me here has several protection layers, so I can't even analyze it... But, it isn't impossible, I just need to find the bastard who used it on me.

Ah summoning. Interesting how that works in Sci-fi. Seeing as the universe is unlikely to actually respond to speech, perhaps using the energy of soundwaves as a catalyst to another reaction?

*Shrugs* I dunno about sci-fi movies. I just know in my home world there are a few who master use of space manipulation Attack Summons, but very few. How Attack Summons work:"Attack Summons, they can be used to destroy, trap, repel, heal, summon, protect, detect, and many other uses. Once it has been placed, and the incantation casted, you can then use an Attack Summon." So basically it's not the words, but your power harnessed that effects your surroundings. Kind of like how wind turns a turbine to produce energy, simply a guide, or in the case of Attack Summons, a foundation.

Hmm... I see... It appears to fall within the realm of psychokinesis. And condensing energy before using it is an interesting concept. But by my understanding in this universe reactions require energy to take place and the energy going in must equal the energy coming out. This would seem to place a severe limit on the extent of the ability of attack summons. To use your wind turbine analogy, the turbine's output is limited by the total amount of energy hitting the blades. Where you're from there's a way around this?

I'm not familiar with Ichirai_Shonin's references and terminology but I've studied ideas about real magick. Incantations are not powerful because of the words or sounds by themselves. They are just a way to help you focus your will and intentions. True power comes from inside. Unfortunately, very few people are able to manifest this power in any significant way. Martial artists use it in a minor way after many years of study to break bricks and such. Chi energy is a form of internal power. But there are other manifestations. Precognition and telekinesis are other forms.
