So what's the worst anime you've ever seen or been the most disappointed in?

Not gonna say worst cause I haven't finished yet and I knew it would be difficult to get into but Ergo Proxy has been meh so far and I don't want to continue haha

I was totally gonna say that, then I thought about Samurai Gun. If it were a top 5 list, Wolf's Rain would be #2, followed by super, waaaay over the top fan-service...y....stuff (Najica, Mouse, Queen's Blade, etc.).

@doubt_equals_ammo Very understandable. I would say they needed more of a budget for Samurai Gun and it would have been better kind of like Kaze no Yojimbo.

Reading the name of this thread, it totally reminded me of a series I was very disappointed in (it's still not in my top 5 worst, it just let me down...a LOT): The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzimiya... Season 2. It's the same episode over and over and over and over and over again with only different angles and a few changes in MINOR details (hey, she changed her swimsuit this episode...*yawn*). I don't even think I finished it (but at least 6 of them were the same).

I think I'll gather some haters on this: Shuffle! Because of two reasons: 1.The first episodes showed some action scenes, then slowly it faded into a harem drama. I wasn't disappointing about this, I just expected something else --SPOIL ALERT-- 2. The main character chooses a girl in the end. I didn't really like that idea. It's more fun to see the main character in a dilemma rather than effectively choosing.

Bleach, Naruto, and some of the newer Gundam series. I find it disturbing when guys go emo. Bleach has the same routine for every arc: 1) get beat up by new antagonist 2) get emo 3) writer writes in a way to magically become stronger very quickly 4) say something about protecting friends 5) wins 6) repeat Everything kind of went downhill for the Gundam series after Gundam Wing...

In my opinion BIG O was the absolute worst... School days had to have been the most disappointing though. That ending was SO unexpected and had me raging for days.

I sorta agree with Big O. The first half was fine to me. Nothing wrong with it at all. It's the second half of the show that I didn't care for. It was too forced, and it was clear it didn't mesh with the first half. Bleach and Naruto in any form are failures. Kubo is just trolling week in and week out, and there's no reason to care for the characters. Naruto is just all Talk no Jutsu, and Naruto's as interesting as a dried up sponge. Hell, SASUKE should be the main character with how the series is going right now. IN both cases, when they get in a bind, the "DBZ" it up and become super duper powerful because shut up. But those are okay compared to some of the stuff I've seen. I mean, I've seen some shit in my day. Doomed Megalopolis was a messy, crappy show to have watched. The Street Fighter 2 anime (which made the hadoken a 10 minute attack) was pretty horrid. I'll say this though. Bobobo-Bo Bo-bobo is underestimated. Name is stupid, but the stuff that went on in that manga and show had its moments. Where else would you see Yugi's head pop out of an afro?
