(I posted these in the other thread, but I'll post them here too I guess!)
I think the option to quote people would be really nice. That way, you can reply to people who've posted pages back and people wont have to go back to look at what they originally said.
I also think more options to customize your profile would be really great. Maybe an option to create a customizable stylesheet (change the background color/image, set it to fixed or scrolled, change the color/face of text, links, etc.)
I also think the option to post images in your posts would be rather useful, as long as there was a size limit implemented. But that's not that crucial hahaha.

A little late but a few things I notice:
The forum needs it's own search.
When going to the next page you should automatically be scrolled back to the top so you can see the next post right away.
Also look into using things like window.history.pushState where it's available (and otherwise consider a fragment). Ajax pagination like you have without tweaking the url is extremely unhelpful. Besides the url no longer representing what you're looking at (try sharing it and the person will be on the wrong page for whatever post you were looking at) it messes with the functionality of the browser's back button.
a (Anchor/link) tags for page links shouldn't be ajax-only like they are. Put a working link in the href instead of # then use that in the click event handler to determine what url to load via ajax. This should help with search engine indexing of the site.
The method of adding a default image is quite un-intuitive.
Not sure if it's just me, but the distance calculations seem utterly broken.
Speaking of locations. The display on profiles is not intuitive either. They seem to be inconsistent, giving things like WA, USA, Canada, "Surrey, Canada" (Mine, completely omitting my province). And the ones just saying things like "Canada" are seriously unhelpful. I can't tell if someone is my neighbour or even further away from me than some Americans are.

Guys keep this within top three to voice your concerns about the site

Some ideas of mine after being on here for about a day:
-Private messaging
-When posting pictures in posts on threads, being able to have the link clickable to the picture or having the actual picture posted.
-A bit of a background/page coloring instead of just the normal white.
I think this site is fairly new so I understand a lot of these things aren't present for that reason.

Heh, another I just noticed from the notification for Zero2's post.
The link inside the notification for a new post should take you to the page that post is on and include a fragment for that post in the url. Not take you to the start of the topic.
ie: The url for Zero2's comment should not have been http://www.maiotaku.com/mytopics/6012/mytopics/6146 but instead been http://www.maiotaku.com/mytopics/6012/mytopics/6146?page=4#comment_300050

When posting fails because you wrote too much or for some other reason the site should give you a proper error describing what went wrong.

You can actually private message people. The trick is you have to be friends with them in order to do so. It's a good way to keep unwanted people from sending you messages, but it also makes conveying any sort of initial greeting privately a little tougher.

The issues with letting anyone private message you could probably be dealt with by making that a messaging preference, letting you modify all your preferences, and also adding a block feature to stop people private messaging you and posting public messages on your profile.
