I think it depends on the dynamic of the relationship. If the relationship was poor, you would believe it was better never to love at all. If the relationship was beautiful, you'll live in nostalgic, bittersweet bliss.

REALLY depends on the relationship. If it was only for a few months and your significant other treated you like crap, lied, cheated on you, etc then you were probably better off being single. If you were together for awhile and had a quality relationship, then I could agree with that because it's how you become better at relationships by actually being in one. It's a growth experience even if it doesn't work out at the end of the day.
