@thesailingteacup There is a problem with that. He cannot write up a bill, that is the job of the legislative branch. He can't use an executive order either since those are for the express purpose of the function of the federal government. Now the big problem is that the legislative branch does this stupid shit where they have the main issue in the bill, then tack on a bunch of nonsense that has absolutely nothing to do with the problem at hand. So he vetoes it, but it can get passed anyways with a 2/3rds vote by both houses. I seriously hope that it doesn't get passed since I do not pay taxes for gender study classes in Pakistan and other crap like that, and yes that is a part of the bill.

@thesailingteacup I think this is more of a damned if you do, damned if you dont kind of a situation when it comes to the stimulus package. So far, its "far too little, far too late", so even if it gets past, its not enough to help those that actually need help, that, and the sheer amount of earmarks and inane additions is further making it pointless, if not hurtful. On the other hand, yes, technically the bill may be vetoed, but as to the question of if it can be overridden by congress still remains unlikely, as they spent this long just trying to get anything with a passing semblance of a proper response through the system. I cant even imagine how long it would take for the cesspool of our legislative branch to put together a follow up offer that has any chance of passing. I doubt a big 2k check like what he states he wants, will be part of any follow up offer, as it was already hard enough for the Republicans to agree to just a measly $600 check. He doesn't have the ability to write the legislation, just to have one part of the final approval.

That video infuriates me, as it should any American citizen. This is exactly the kind of corruption and slime our politicians push through under our noses. I would say 95% of our taxpayer money would be going towards bullshit causes. 1 billion dollars for the Smithsonian museum that has been shut down for a year? Why do they need it so badly? New construction projects for the FBI? How about the ma and pa shops that are closing doors all around us? Why is it that illegal immigrants are getting a bigger bailout than the American citizen? I'll tell you why. It's the same bullshit that this country has been pandering in for decades. Lobbyists cozy up to the people who write these bills to slip under the radar to satisfy special interest groups. Only a handful of people even cared to vote against it. If you are an elected official to office, your one fucking job is to read the shit you decide to vote on. Two eyes on a sheet of paper and READ. Yeah, we go out and think we make a difference by 'voting' but all we really are voting for is who you want to @#$% you in the ass. Good ol' U S of A!

@thesailingteacup Just happened to catch it on my YouBoob feed. Glad he's addressing it. Tulsi Gabbard did as well. The only other notable ones that didn't vote yea were Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/116-2020/h251

Take that back. Matt Gaetz and Ken Buck voted Nea. They were 2 of the ones from the Swamp documentary. Thomas Massie of Kentucky as well, also in the documentary.
