I don't remember if I ever openly said this here, but I help cleanse hauntings, and I am one of those few psychics in southern ohio that knows how to slay a demon. Even then, I don't think that's anything to brag about here. My reason for even mentioning this is mostly because... Listen, I kinda follow a different interpretation for what god is. I agree with your statement that there is a deeper understanding to god beyond what is observable. I'm also very careful about claiming to know any truth to god. (Hence why I keep the label of agnostic), mostly because doing what I do, and having a rather mechanical understanding of a lot of spiritual mechanics and how it actually works given that I can kinda see it, people make mountains out of ant hills when it comes to this stuff. People almost always make up their minds about what the thing is that haunts them before I even step foot in the house. I've stepped foot into so many houses. Then go figure, I see the lights are flickering, the dog's barking at the wall, there's a smell of urine, and a feeling of sickness, but I don't sense anything there. So I have to be the one to tell them "Dude, it's rats."
If you wanna know a thing or two about miracles, work with someone who knows how to conjure an angel. But don't enshew objective reality. All layers of existence are valid.

"If you look for God you will find him. "
Yup, that indeed is usually how it works. Weird that...
Coming from someone who heard and saw God everywhere at one point, it truly is all about perspective.
I too believe there to be something, but I know that's just my perspective.

Yes, and perspective is very malleable. Especially in spiritual matters. That's kinda the point I was trying to make between the lines.
Hell, chaos magicians? Some of them base their entire art around bending their perception. Donald Trump also does this, hell a lot of the financial elites do... Must be a lizard person or something. >.>

I bet that wasn't the only time it has been struck by lightning. I mean, anything that tall is going to be more likely to get struck than something low to the ground.
But, to your point that God is angry, I thought he was merciful? If we have the same God in mind, through the teachings of Jesus, it doesn't matter what people have done. If they have love in their hearts and ask for forgiveness, God is merciful.
Now about Carnival and Mardi Gras. Both are based in Christianity, specifically Catholicism. The masks, the opulence, it's all performance and exaggeration, sometimes even parody. It's also a celebration to give in to some of your vices before Lent. The entire point is to fast or sacrifice something you hold dear. Some people don't eat meat, some give up booz, some give up sex. It is possible the performance was done by outliers, someone going for shock value, but I doubt the entire Carnival in Brazil has been co-opted by Satanists, sinners maybe, but that's the time to kinda let that stuff out, especially via expression and performance art.

I can say something about the statue but then i will just be called out for moving the goal post even tho its been my stance from the beginning so i will leave it there.
As far as the carnival, shock factor or not this probably angers God. Alot of people say that God is merciful and this is true. But in the bible does it not say how a portion of the world population will die, that a portion of the water will be poisoned so on and so forth. Merciful as he may be he will still unleash his wrath. Jesus will lead all this. See alot of people focus on the good warm feeling alway friendly God. Without speaking on the need for repentance. If God was simply ok with us doing all the stuff we do then there would be no rapture.

Well no God would never do something like that by Christianity standards since you're taking about Old testament God. There's a reason the crucification of Jesus is really important to Christianity since the new testament basically started a new age for Christianity where God is only merciful due to the blood and forgiveness of Christ and would never again harm humanity so that's why no one talks about God's wrath as for the rapture that's more of the devil taking over the Earth while Christians get saved not an act of God. When i see people saying things like the statue being struck is the wrath of God that shows me that A. The person is new to Christianity B. The person knows nothing about Christianity or C. The person follows a different religion

One of the reasons some people drop the religion is because its weird that one day they basically just said "ya know what ignore some of the things in the old testament because the new testament says they don't matter" like wearing mixed fabrics since at one point that was a sin or that God went on a lot of genocide sprees which I believe my pastor said was justified because humans were born in sin and before Jesus was crucified all we did was sin but his blood washed it away and forgave sin therefore now there's no reason to be wrathful towards humanity or something along those lines

Im pretty sure the new testament does talk about the rapture. Matthew 24:31 Thessalonians 4:13-17
