Either way i think we will see alot more thkngs coming out in regards to religion with the euphrates river drying up and revealing more hidden chambers and structures than previously. That and all the earthquakes around that area may shift things around and they may very well com across more tablets and stuff hidden from man. Could shed more light on things we didnt know previously.

The video talks about anothe religion similar to roman catholicism but like i said before i dont think catholicism alligns with Christianity at all. Plus jesus wasnt roman so idk

@hell_hound7 The problem is a lot of videos and views by any denomination of Christianity that stemmed from the Protestant reformation is extremely hostile to the Catholic Church leading back to the 30 Years War of the 1600s. So getting accurate information from a Protestant on Catholicism is not going to happen. I am Orthodox, but I think I understand enough of the Catholic concepts to expand on them. The Roman Catholic Church is called Roman since that is where the central church of Catholicism was. It would expand out form that point, but the headquarters was in Rome. As far as worship of the Eucharist. It isn't worship per-se, but highest degrees of veneration. It goes into the idea of transubstantiation, which was coined by Pope Innocent III. Catholics believe that once the Eucharist is blessed, it actually does become the flesh and blood of Christ. Saints are another thing. A Saint is someone who has performed miracles. So it it is a person who was blessed by God himself to perform a task that could only be done with power given to the Saint by God. The very spark of God's might was within that person. In the Orthodoxy we refer to the Saints as "windows to God". In other words, a direct line to God, someone to be venerated and respected. A reminder that God is still here and can sometimes be a bit more direct on the way he guides us.

But someone who performs miracles would basically be like saying there was more than one jesus no? Or maybe i just dont understand, but the fact that these people hold any sort of significance is bad in a way as it detracts from the worship of god. Especially where people would go on to worship them which then makes them a false idol. Am i just being crazy though? Roman catholicism was it not started by emperor Constantine? Who in fact lived his life as a pagan. So catholicism is basically paganism in a sense.

Also @yaasshat yes jesus was not Christian because Christianity is basically acknowledging he is the son of god. Part of the holy trinity.

I know.... I was being a smart ass.... Christianity is admitting he was the Christ aka savior, ain't gotta be the "son of God" for that. But, yus. Blah blah... I'm sure someone will argue how he had to be God in the flesh for it to be so...blah. I'm curious, of course this comes from a former protestants point of view (Southern Baptist, to be exact.). Why is Jesus so important and prayed to if it's God "the father" that does/decides all? I suppose one could argue he's supposed to be the "between" man...man. But, he's God, right? Then how can he be in-between or lesser than himself? Dun dun duuuuuuuun!!!! Oh, many performed "miracles" in the bible, not just Jesus. The miracles were ment as signs of God's power and not to be a representation of the person or vessel.

Yes exactly thats the case if they are revered as "special" because they held some sort of power to be considered a saint that puts them at the same level as jesus. That was my argument they arent like special themselves they have just been doing the work of god. To worship them would be to say they are essentially god themselves. Because jesus is considered god. Im not entirely sure the entire story being jesus and why he is the middle man for us as humans and god. But the fact the Quran states the same thing as the bible is some indication that there is more to it than just being a inferior god. He is god but why is it he as god suffered a man's death.
