as someone who found this site at 15/16, im against purging the younger users. so long as theyr honest about their age and act appropriately, whats the harm? this isnt really a dating site, only 10% of threads tops are romantically themed, and maybe just bar them from accessing the nsfw section

@momoichi Regardless of what the site has evolved to over the years, it's still advertised as a dating-website. This fundamentally is the sole-reason that people initially flock to the site. It would be different if the sites mechanics and advertisement initially operated as a social-hub, but this is not the case.

@mickkito anecdotal, but i came for dating and did connect with a guy, who was my age. back in the day, we had a lot of teenagers, to the point that i remember older users complaining about not having anyone in their age range. so its not impossible, and if they are forthcoming about their age, what issue is there? if users over 18 engage them its them being creeps, no fault to the teens. that being said, this is advertised as a dating site but all users end up realizing its really just an anime forum. a teen could come for dating, see no one they like, and assimilate into the community like the rest of us. not saying every age should be allowed, maybe 16 should be the minimum age, but 18 is a bit much.
