I lie to you not this is a bedtime story I made for someone here. He was very tired and needed help sleeping so I came up with... this lol, enjoy! Pt.1–
In an ancient civilization long ago there was a king. A king name Zaketvah who appeared charming and intelligent but his charm hid away his dim mind. The queen he had was the one always in charge of the kingdom and used the love the king had for her to get him to do anything for her, even if it was being a tyrant . The Queen was named Namara, a foreign princess at the time of her engagement given over to the king as a peace offering. She was the most beautiful woman in her kingdom and sold away by her father and mother for the sake of peace. The queen however had a secret and devious plan she crafted ever since she was a young girl and found hate festering in her heart for king Zaketvah’s kingdom. The Queen was not the meek, quiet, noble and respectable woman she has the king’s people believe she is. The secret she hides is one that will have all kingdoms turn against her, but not before she destroys king Zaketvah for what he’s done to her people. It turns out that queen Namara was originally from a kingdom called Portava, a kingdom who what seemed to be ahead of their time, a people who seemed to be able to know anything and build anything making the surrounding kingdoms scared, jealous, envious and angered at the power her people were capable of.
Some said she was a witch, others said her beauty was other worldly and she was some demon that rose to tempt all who surrounded her, others persecuted and blamed her people for all being deviants of the gods for using witchcraft and sorcery. And while her kingdom did seem to have what seemed like other worldly people, it seemed that the surrounding kingdoms forgot her people were nice people. Only angered and ready for war when they saw a threat coming, but Namara always sensed something would go wrong when she was just a girl, her mother would always frown and squeeze her hands tightly whenever the topic of other kingdoms came up. Her father became temperamental with his guards, quickly snapping at anyone that mentioned what others are saying... anyone that mentioned his young daughter being the cause of such outrageous lies. But soon the time came when Namara’s parents called for her in the throne room, her mother beckoning her to come closer to tell her the secrets of the king and queen. Namara was brought in by the queen; her mother’s, trusted maid. Namara felt sweat gather above her brown and behind her back as she was hardly allowed in the throne room unless it was for special occasions. “Namara, my treasure. I beckon thee to come closer to your mother and father—“, the queen pauses and gives an anxious look to the king feeling comfort at the brave look in his eyes, “we have something to tell you about the secrets of your family.”
The young princess looks between her anxious mother and her seemingly brave father. Bowing to the king and queen Namara sits back up and gently grabs her mother’s hand, “Mother... does what you wanna talk about have to do with the rumors?” Namara knows she must have gotten something right when she sees her mother fold her lips inwards and her father exhale roughly. “Oh? So it is about the rumors. I-I don’t know why I have been feeling so much lately... I have been having dreams of terrible things mother, father...” The king and Queen watch in pain as their daughter nervously rambles and avoids looking at them, her own parents as if she has a reason to be ashamed. The king decides to say something now as his wife is in just as much a nervous state as their daughter. Grabbing his daughters chin softly in his calloused hands, the king tilts her head up and waits until she is brave enough to look at him. “Yes, but you are having visions and not just dreams. We have decided that this would happen sooner or later and tried to keep everyone here safe... but that is a choice I am no longer sure of.” Namara watches her father frown in disappointment, and while she is still nervous she is also curious now about what her parents could possibly mean.
“I-I am having visions?” The young princess pauses in thought, hands twitching in worry at what this could mean for her family and kingdom, “Father, do you know of the dreams I am having? If you knew about whatever is happening why not tell me soo-“, The king cuts his daughter off by raising his hand and giving a stern look to his daughter. “Be careful how you speak to the king. Hold your tongue child and hear what your parents have to say. My beloved queen speak.” The queen takes a deep breath while pulling her daughter close to her bosom. “Beloved treasure of mine I know of the dreams you have. For I have gone through the same turmoil... you do not know the true genealogy of your family—“ a pause— “of your mother’s family.” The Queen gently shushes Namara when she goes to open her mouth, “hush my love and listen. I am the descendant of the Old Ones and daughter of Vetak and Soran.”
Namara grips tightly onto her mother’s silk robes and looks up questioningly. “Daughter of Vetak and Soran? M-Mother... you and father have taught me about them and how King Vetak was a devious king? You are queen Afrasia from the kingdom of Levisia are you not?” The queen gives a tired sigh and pulls her daughter away to look into her eyes, “I had to lie my beloved treasure. I am actually Princess Sabana of the ancient kingdom Orkeva, daughter of Vetak and Soran...” the Queen looks into her daughter’s eyes with sadness for the lies weaved through her precious life. “I am the daughter to an ancient demon and goddess of sorcery I—“ Namara interrupts her mother with a push to her chest and looks between her parents worriedly, “You’ve been lying to me this whole time? Forgive me mother for the interruption but am I even who you say I am? Am I even your daughter?”

Pt. 2– Queen Sabana grips onto her daughter tightly. “Do not even question if you are our child or not! You are the product of our love for one another... I and your father have had to tell many lies to you, but telling you we love you and that you are ours was not one of them. Now, I need you to calm down and listen closely my treasure... I had to work hard to escape under my parents hand. The gods are just as tyrannical as the demons can be most times, I have to admit I always knew you’d be born... I saw the trouble you’d go through in life and always wished you wouldn’t be born for that reason. My king you can speak to her now.” The Queen gently lets go of her daughter and sits gracefully back onto her throne
Namara wants to run away but she has always been a reasonable girl. She knows that if she were to run away now she may never be able to have a chance at saving her kingdom or herself, the princess sighs shakily and turns towards her father. “Do you come from some demon too? Do you also wish I wasn’t born because of this?” The king sees the pain in his duaghter’s eyes and shakes his head, “your mother did not mean it that way. You are a gift to us, a treasure really... but the visions of what your life is to be like was never a comforting thought for your mother or me is all. We’ve worked hard for the gift we got all for it to be snatched away—“, Namara’s eyes widen at the words of her father, “a-am I to die? Will that help save you and the kingdom?” The king shakes his head in disagreement and brings his daughter closer by holding her hands, “I have spoken enough about that. You have to find out in your own time what must happen. Do you know how your mother was able to escape? She had my help, my father was always a prosperous king because he made a deal with king Vetak. My father was a troubled king and didn’t mind dirty tricks as long as it got him where he wanted or needed to be.”
The king squeezes his daughter’s hands in his, “I met your mother when my father had a gathering with king Vetak. We grew close and made a plan to escape our wicked kingdoms filled with lies, unfaithfulness, cheaters, stealers... any form of wrong you could think of our kingdoms did it and buried it under false kindness and smiles. But, I guess in the end me and your mother weren’t any different from our parents no matter how much we tried to be. Maybe this is just our sins coming back to us.”
Namara eyes her father suspiciously. “What have you done? Have you been ruling our kingdom the same!?” Voice rising in irritation and anger at not knowing already what her parents could have done, Namara tried to escape her father’s grip but grunts in frustration when he won’t let go. “Namara, stop! Me and your mother turned our kingdoms against each other... we knew we couldn’t outright overthrow our fathers, that was not a risk we wanted to take. At the time we did what we thought best... tried to help the few innocents escape but they wouldn’t listen and stayed. After all we thought it was a good plan as your mother was raised by a devious man and an alluring woman...” the king finally lets go of his daughter’s hands and stops when he sees the story finally connecting in her mind.
Namara looks between her mother and father in shock, turning unbelieving eyes upon her mother. “Y-You? You used your sorcery to overthrow your kingdoms?” Queen Sabana folds her hands together and looks her daughter in the eyes guiltily, “I did. I used what my mother taught me and put thoughts into the opposing kingdom’s head of betrayal and hate. People always said I was as charming as my mother and I used that to my advantage... I used it to destroy our kingdoms.” Namara grows paler at the thought of what her parents did, she doesn't know how she should feel about this. On one hand she does believe them when they say the rulers of their kingdom were evil, but all the other lives lost... how did they know everyone else was evil too? Who are they to judge others because of the actions of many?
Namara slowly backs away and shakes her head. “Y-You both? I do not want any part in this! Where were your visions then mother!? Where were they to help save you and other innocent people!? Who were you both to judge your kingdoms because of what many others did!? S-Surely not everyone was so evil like you thought?” Namara’s chest moves up and down rapidly in panicked breaths, she feels as if this is all a dream. Surely it is? This can’t be happening to her right now? Namara watched as her father and mother stretch their hands out to comfort her, but all she can do is shake her head and run out of the throne room to a place she feels the most at peace.

Pt.3– The sound of rushing water, the chirping of birds, the smell of the grass and the colors of the flowers in Namara’s secret garden calm her down immensely. Walking until she stops under the crystal flower tree she found in this garden Namara sits under the tree and sighs to herself, her small and shaken voice sounding loud in such a peaceful area. “What is the point of all this? Why tell me now? Why would they allow me to be born!? This is all so confusing.” Namara’s arms squeeze around her body tightly as she looks towards the crystal flowers on the tree and shouts at them. “This is all your fault! I-If you weren’t here then maybe things would be different? M-Maybe I wouldn’t have been cursed to foresee the future—“, the young princess breaks off into a sob and starts scratching onto the tree in anger, not realizing she is only hurting herself.
A blue light gently weaves its way out from one of the crystal flowers and wraps itself around the distressed princess who is too saddened to notice what is happening around her. The young girl only opening her eyes at the familiar voice she’s heard coming back to comfort her. “Namara, Namara. I have been trying to speak to you of what your future is like—“ the Princess looks up in shock at the gentle voice and the blue light surrounding her, feeling a moment of peace from the voice even though she knows she’s sad. The voice continues when it’s seen it has the girl’s attention—“Your future won’t always be an easy one. You know the things you have seen and yet deny them, you have figured out deep in your soul that the voices you’ve heard have come from this tree. Why do you deny your destiny?”
Namara feels a burst of anger at this light talking to her about “destiny”. What does it know about her!? Maybe she’s gone completely mad since she’s talking to a blue light anyway! Fists clenching and jaw tightening, Namara looks around for an escape from this light while shouting, “What do you know about me!? I-I have gone mad imagining all this stuff up! And if by destiny you mean cursed... I absolutely agree with you. Those ‘visions’ I’ve been having are nothing but dreams, no! Nightmares!” Panting heavily from her running around trying to find an escape route and her hardly breathing when talking, Namara turns towards the blue light with fearful eyes when it gets brighter around her.
Namara lifts up her arms to block the ray of light coming towards her body and getting brighter, her knees shaking at the force of power she feels from the mysterious lights voice. “Cursed! Who are you to decide if you are or not!? You are a princess who has been blessed to grow up comfortably without a worry in the world, you deserve to also live in happiness Namara! But there comes a time when we must leave our comfortability to go into the uncomfortable! You cannot learn this life without experiencing it first!” Namara falls to her knees and starts crying... from fear, pain or sadness she doesn’t know.
Namara sniffles as the light now sounds calm from seeing her response, “Oh, dear Namara. I know you are frightened and feel burdened by this weight of news laid upon your mind. But even though your life won’t be easy, you are destined for greatness.” The light gently curls around Namara’s chin and lifts her head up, “It is what you choose to do with the greatness you have that matters. Do you know why you have always wanted to travel and see the world? Do you know why you have always felt closely to and for the people around you? It’s because your heart is with the people, you feel strongly because you care about what they go through. Do you not?”
Namara looks into the light and slowly nods her head at how correct it is... she knows deep down it’s all true and her shoulders slump as the light keeps talking. “You asked me what do I know about destiny... what I know about you. I know you because I am a part of you, a part of you that you hadn’t found or realized until today. I am the guardian who will be with you as long as you see fit, I will not be able to step in to help you in many ways but I can help guide you to the right path. I have said your heart is with the people did I not? How can you be for the people if you have not experienced what the people have gone through? Tell me of your fears and burdens and I will make sure you fully understand.” Namara trembles at the lights gentleness and kindness, letting out a sob at the words spoken to her.

Pt.4– She starts to speak about her fears and burdens for what feels like hours, finally feeling calm and brave enough to tell this light her visions. “I... I have seen my people’s ruin. M-My parents have given me away... sold me, like I’m not even their daughter.” Namara gets quiet and feels a lump in her throat from sadness and tears spring into her eyes once again. Can’t she stop crying already? It’s already getting on her nerves. The young girl snaps out of her thoughts when the light speaks again, “Yes, I know it must hurt Princess. But they won’t do anything you haven’t first agreed to first—“ Namara’s head snaps up in shock at such a ridiculous notion that she’d agree to such a thing—“Wait! You are saying t-that I agreed to be sold? That is absurd!” Namara feels irritation at hearing a huff of laughter come from the light, “You are confused now but I know you are already thinking about it and agreeing in your heart to do it. I now know you are ready for what’s to come, you are chosen for doing what needs to be done despite your discomfort or unhappiness for the situation.”
Namara looks into the light and tightens her hands together in worry... like her mother does. “Am I not wrong for getting angry at you? Lashing out at you and hating what I have to go through? Feeling upset about my... my gift? My parents and instructors have taught me a Princess must not feel such things... let alone show them.” Namara looks in shock as the light begins to form into the shape of a woman with crystal skin, jumping when she feels a cold, yet gentle hand touch her face softly. “You are allowed to feel anger at your burdens. That is a place your parents have failed you... of course you must not let that anger turn into unjustified wrath or hate for your life or others, but you are fine to feel what you have felt. The time is now Namara to go back, but first I must give you my power.” Namara looks into the bright eyes of the light and nods her head, feeling much calmer at having had someone to talk to.
Namara closes her eyes as the light gets bright again and when she opens them, she finds herself in what seems to be a crystal realm. The Princess follows the light to crystal flowers floating all around them, it’s like everything around her is like one big mirror. “What are these flowers for?” Namara sees the light turn around and smile gently at her, “These flowers are generations of people who had the same gift as you. Some have strayed in their quest and others have done well, we will give you wisdom and understanding of some of your dreams. You may not be able to know all of them until the time comes but you will have the understanding to figure out what to do while going through your troubles. I know you are thinking everything is a mirror—“ Namara looks surprised at the accurate guess—“We Want people to see who they are. What they were before heading on their journey and when you come back here in due time you can see what you are like now, if you have changed much or little.”
