Honestly, @chocopyro , that would make sense(I don't want to elaborate, but I've dealt with enough "weight" to make me at least think.). Oh... That would unequivocally make sense.lol But, would the person being possessed be aware of it happening? (Again, I don't truly believe. However, I find this stuff fascinating and I like to keep an open mind.)
chocopyro
@yaasshat Not always. A lot of variables (Both internal and external) need to be set into place for demonic possession to occur though. So if its real, and happens rather regularly, and you could rule out either mental illness, stress, or misidentification, you're probably dealing with something much more local than a demon. Unless you have a spell circle under a carpet or a spell jar buried somewhere on the property, I wouldn't worry about it.

@chocopyro Oh, it was more than likely a lack of sleep/stress.lol However, as I've said, I find this kind of stuff interesting at the very least. For what it's worth, I do have a protective thingy... Not sure exactly how legit it would be considered, but a nice friend of my fiance gave it to us when our daughter was born. I'm guessing wiccan? However, not entirely sure and I've not looked into. Would you say the energy one emanates is more important than spiritual paraphernalia?
chocopyro
@yaasshat Yeah, it looks wiccan to me. The pentacles and crescents give it away. Honestly, it depends on what you're trying to do. In my discipline, psionics, we tend to stick to the raw energy manipulation. But if you're trying to change something in the physical, it's not going to get you anywhere. In Natural Magick, (Something a lot of witches and magicians incorporate into their spells), you choose materials that correspond to specific types of etheric energies. For example, here's one everyone knows about. Sage. On its own, the plant is best used for cooking. When used as an aromatic however, the smoke of sage tends to neutralize the etheric energy of a space. You could of course layer symbols (Usually patterns that correspond to sacred geometric vibrations.) over that sage burning to bridge the energy of Spirit or Divinity through the spectrum of causality. And the idea is to bring those two energies together to connect heaven and earth. So looking at your charm. The use of bronze, copper, and gold is to invoke the elemental force of earth. That ensures a stable foundation. The pentacle (In wicca from my limited understanding) is the balance of all four elements, as well as Spirit. In the hermetic traditions, the pentagram represents Man (Used gender neutrally) and Man's connection to divinity, as well as the four elements within man, but to them its less a religious symbol, and more something deeply ingrained in consciousness. Its used for two reasons. To keep something in, or keep interferences out. The key is pretty self exclamatory. Keys are to open doors. The bells are a protection symbol. And the colors of the ribbons, Pink, Purple, and Yellow? To my guess, they represent love, willpower or mental power, and the protection of happiness. So yeah. Looks like an authentic protection charm to me. Even if it wasn't ritual consecrated, all one would have to do to give it power is recognize the symbols as inherently possessing it. And recognize that the charm belongs to your daughter. The materials used in the construction should theoretically take care of the rest.

I do like the symbology behind it @chocopyro. And yeah, I already knew it was a protection charm that's meant to be put in the entrance of your house to keep bad stuff out. However , I definitely do like the further breakdown of the parts. So, thanks. Does it being tiered have any significance? Just curious.
chocopyro
@yaasshat I don't FACTUALLY know if it does or not to be honest. So full disclosure, I'm going to go off of intuition alone on this one... Alright. Back to finish this post. After emptying my mind, breathing in circular manner, and concentrating only on that question (A form of western meditation called discursive meditation), and connecting to the anima mundi, the first images I was shown in this method of scrying were that each bell is supposed to represent one of these three. Father, mother, and child. ...And my mind went on a uncontrollable ADHD tangent about trinities in ancient Indo-European belief, blah blah blah, the celts and the rule of three, blah blah blah, the three fates, blah blah blah, the greeks, blah blah blah, catholic holy trinity, Mother, Maiden, Crone, then Mind, Body, and Soul... Yeah. It was a whole thing. Just kinda a "Hey, while I have you on the line, let me show you the sequence of three over and over again." Now obviously since this is channeled information, it shouldn't be taken at face value. But you were curious, so I described the process and subjective experience as to how a western magician would usually go about ascertaining that kind of information. Obviously to know what it meant to the maker, you would have to call them up and ask what the teirs means.

@chocopyro Makes sense and much appreciated, kind sir.

Take Uncle Death's advice, Senpai! Always have a trusted adult check your candy before you eat it. You can never be too safe around strangers with anything that doesn't have a sealed wrapper. It's a risk! And another thing. Uncle Death always gets 10% of the whatever you haul in tonight, got it? Or else...
chocopyro
What? No! No eldritch deals with beings from beyond the sorted universe! If you want my candy, you know the drill. Get your bag, and wait in line.
